UnsupportedOperationException: TRANSLUCENT translucency is not supported

Dear MEGAN developer,
I downloaded the non-redundant proteins of bacteria and archaea from NCBI refseq database released September 16,2019 and make a dmnd file by diamond :
diamond makedb --in NCBI_bacteria_archea_nonredundant_protein.faa.gz -d NCBI_nonre_bacteria_archea_protein.

After I blast my pair-end mRNA sequences against the dmnd database, I got the daa output.

I meganized the daa file using :
bash daa-meganizer -i IS1_qc_pear_sort.daa -mdb megan-map-Oct2019.db.

When I tried to open the meganized file in MEGAN, the software is hanging and showed the following messages:

Did I do something wrong?

I would like to know why it happens and how to fix it. If you need further information, please let me know. I would really appreciate your help and support.

The solution is to open the maganized daa file in MEGAN 6.17.0 instead of MEGAN 6.18.0.

I wonder where is the right place to download the older version of MEGAN (6.17.0)?

I have identified the problem and will upload a new release this week in which the problem is fixed. Older versions of MEGAN can be downloaded from:

https://software-ab.informatik.uni-tuebingen.de/download/megan6/welcome.html

Just replace the file name of the current version by the file name of an older version.

I will look into adding an explicit list of links to previous versions. Currently, these versions are available for download:

See release 8.18.1, problem is fixed, notifications are now turned off if translucency is not supported.
