I would find it very useful to be able to bin blast results based on Top Percentage of Percent Identity - i.e. for binning, consider the top hit and any other hits that have a percent identity within x% of the top hit. Current top percent based on blast score is useful, but much harder to choose a non-arbitrary value as it changes depending on the database size/query length. I do not exclusively use 16S so cannot use the 16S percent identity filter. Could this be something you would consider implementing?
