I am anticipating that the megan map file (nucl) could be updated to new 2024 file. There are more unassigned reads since the database we are using is updated and Megan is using old tree I guess. It would be good if we could get the updates tree.

MEGAN7 is already updated with information from 2024, including both the tree and all mapping files. What issue are you facing, and which file are you using? Could you please elaborate a bit?

Hi @Anupam is the megan-DNA-r1.zip available for megan7? I can only see a database for genomes “megan-genome-r1.zip”. Thanks!
Hi @jcnavarro, will discuss this with Professor Huson and update you accordingly. I assume that megan-genome-r1.zip is the correct file.
There might be a slight delay in my response as we currently have a research visit ongoing, but I should be able to provide you with an answer by next week.
